IBADAN — THE Deputy National Chairman (South) of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Ambassador Taofeek Arapaja, yesterday, declared that the recent discord at the party’s national secretariat is a natural internal challenge.
He stated this while leading the National Working Committee, NWC, on a condolence visit to Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State, following the death of his brother, Mr Sunday Makinde.
Arapaja, who spoke on the disturbances, including a fistfight that broke out on Wednesday at the party secretariat in Abuja, characterised it as an internal challenge in a large political entity like the PDP.
He said: “As a major party, such events are expected. Everyone knows that the PDP is a big family. I assure you, this matter will be resolved internally and swiftly.”
