  • Ndigbo chose Monday sit-at-home to show solidarity with Nnamdi Kanu – IPOB

Ndigbo chose Monday sit-at-home to show solidarity with Nnamdi Kanu – IPOB

NNEWI——– THE Indigenous People of Biafra (IPoB) has told the Federal government and the Nigerian Army that it can no longer be blackmailed with Monday weekly sit-at-home because the whole Nigerians and the world knows that it has no hand in its continued observation by Ndigbo.

IPoB urged the Federal government to release its leader Nnamdi Kanu if it wants the Monday weekly sit-at-home to stop, saying it is now a protest by Ndigbo against the continued illegal and malicious detention of Mazi Kanu, who is now being used as a pawn against Ndigbo.

The pro-Biafra group in a statement by its Media and Publicity Secretary, Emma Powerful entitled “Do not blackmail IPoB with Monday weekly sit-at-home, instead free Nnamdi Kanu”, said that Monday weekly sit-home is no more IPoB issue but a protest by Ndigbo against the illegal and malicious detention of Mazi Kanu.

IPoB statement read, “The noble family and movement of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPoB, worldwide wish to categorically notify the Nigerian military and the Nigerian government that they can not blackmail IPoB and Eastern Security Network, ESN with Monday sit-at-home because we are a disciplined self-determination movement and has for long disassociated itself from Monday weekly sit-at-home.

“IPoB members and ESN operatives are disciplined freedom-fighting volunteers fighting for survival. IPoB and ESN are the reasons that the state-sponsored terrorists have not turned Biafra land into a mass grave. ESN operatives are the reason why Ndigbo still goes to their farm to date.

“ESN operatives are paying a heavy price in curtailing the activities of terrorists masquerading as herdsmen. The reason that the Nigerian government and her military are targeting and blackmailing ESN daily is to destroy all the defence lines of Biafrans. ESN remains the last defence for Ndigbo.

“Nigerian Army has not defended any indigenous tribe in Nigeria against the state-sponsored foreign Fulani terrorists let alone defending Ndigbo that they wish should be exterminated. Any Igbo person falling for the Nigerian government’s blackmail against IPoB and ESN is a fool who hasn’t understood the level of hatred that the Nigerian State has against Biafran people.

“To the Nigerian government, IPoB and ESN are big obstacles to their extermination and displacement plan against Ndigbo from our ancestral lands. No matter the level of attack, blackmail and extrajudicial executions, and disappearances caused by the Nigerian government against Ndigbo, IPoB remains committed towards safeguarding our land and the self-determination and independence efforts.

“The Nigerian military boasted of demarketing IPoB, and to make Ndigbo hate the movement using the infamous Monday sit-at-home, which the military and Police themselves helped to enforce. Before now, the Nigerian Army and Police patrol around some rural communities in the South East on Mondays, arresting youths seen on the road, thereby helping to enforce sit-at-home.

“The Nigerian government recruited the soulless criminals called Autopiloters to impersonate IPoB and ESN to kill and destroy our people and our people’s properties on Mondays in the name of enforcing the sit-at-home IPoB, already suspended. It was a covert operation between the Nigerian government and the agent provocateurs.

“Their agenda is to use the Monday sit-at-home to convince Ndigbo that IPoB is destroying their economy, but today Ndigbo have known the truth about their humiliation and maltreatment of their people and are now using Monday weekly sit-at-home to protest against injustices against them, particularly the continued malicious and illegal detention of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.

“IPoB initiated and suspended Monday sit-at-home after its first successful compliance. We have constantly condemned the violent enforcement of the sit-at-home, which the Nigerian Army and Police are part of. Since the buffoon in Finland was arrested by the Finnish authorities, the criminals enforcing sit-at-home have gone into hiding.

“That is to tell you that the sit-at-home enforcers were recruited to commit crimes with the name of Biafra and Mazi Nnamdi Kanu. Nevertheless, IPoB commends Ndigbo, who voluntarily chose to sit at home on Mondays in solidarity with our illegally abducted and detained leader Mazi Nnamdi Kanu’s plight.

“IPoB are the people, and people are IPoB. There is no strategy that the Nigerian government will adopt to make Ndigbo reject themselves. Telling Ndigbo to reject IPoB and embrace the Nigerian Army is like telling people to reject their saviour and to embarrass their killers.

“The Nigerian Army should discard the idea of destroying, IPoB, using bullets and blackmail because that is mission impossible. IPoB is rooted in a strong ideology of survival. The more Nigeria rejects and oppresses Ndigbo, the more the IPoB ideology is fueled.

Nigeria has rejected Ndigbo politically, socially, and economically, and Ndigbo has rejected Nigeria in our souls and spirits. To us, Nigeria has ceased to exist, but only for a time.

“The Nigerian military has shown their incapability of protecting Nigerians from terrorists who have taken over some local governments in Northern Nigeria. They are in the Eastern region to create artificial insecurity and to extort Ndigbo.

“How can a professional military occupy themselves with the obsession of ending a voluntary sit-at-home, which is a non-violent civil action instead of facing the rampaging terrorists ravaging the country? Only a weak military will preoccupy themselves with civil matters while leaving terrorism to thrive.

“The Nigerian Army should leave IPoB, ESN and our territory alone. The insecurity in the South East is an artificial one sponsored by the Nigerian State, who recruited criminals to destabilise the region but have failed. IPoB and ESN stand for Biafrans and remain the last line of defence for Ndigbo against the rampaging radical Islamic extremists in their conquest mission in Nigeria.

“The Nigerian Army is working with the radical extremists to destroy Biafra’s line of defence which is IPoB in order to pave the way for the terrorists to massacre Ndigbo and occupy our land like they have done in many parts of the Northern region.

“After the genocidal war against Ndigbo by the British and Nigerian governments. Ndigbo never had any group that is determined and courageous like IPoB and ESN. Ndigbo can’t miss the golden opportunity to support IPoB to restore our dignity as children of light, children of Chukwu Okike Abiama. A strong movement like IPoB comes once in many generations.

The Nigerian government, her military, and South East Governors and politicians should focus on addressing the issues that are responsible for the Monday sit-at-home, which is the unconditional release of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and a call for Biafra Referendum.

“The use of intimidation and bullying people to force them out on Mondays is a cruel tactic. Will the Nigerian Army go to the people’s houses to force them out on Mondays in order to end the sit-at-home?
The answer is NO. Any responsible government would engage in dialogue and superior arguments to win the trust of citizens, but in Nigeria everything is by military intimidation and force.

“Ndigbo love Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and have chosen to sit at home on Mondays in solidarity with him. Igbo Governors and the Nigerian government should toe the line of wisdom and release Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, and the Monday sit-at-home will immediately stop. Blackmailing IPoB and ESN with Monday sit-at-home is a strategy that is dead on arrival.”

IPoB tackles Abia police boss, alleges intimidation of Igbo people

NNEWI——- THE Indigenous People of Biafa, IPoB, has accused the Abia State Police Commissioner of intimidating Igbo in the state while their Fulani counterparts attack them.

The pro-Biafra group warned the Abia police boss to refrain from such alleged acts of intimidation to avoid promoting hatred between the host communities and their visitors in the state.

IPoB in a statement entitled, “IPoB warns Abia Police Commissioner to stop the intimidation, Ndigbo must defend themselves against Fulani attackers” alleged that the state Police boss had summoned some leaders from the Nkpa community in Isikwuato Local Government Area of Abia State over alleged false accusations of the murder of a Fulani herdsman in their community.

IPoB’s ststement read, “The attention of the global family and movement of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPoB, worldwide has been drawn to the summoning of some leaders from Nkpa community in Isikwuato Local Government Area of Abia State by the Abia State Police Commissioner, over the false accusations of the murder of a terrorist herdsman in their community.

“The IPOB intelligence unit has confirmed that Abia State Police Commissioner and his group of clueless and unprofessional officers summoned the leaders of Nkpa community for defending their community against the murderous terrorists getdsmen who rape their women and kidnap people for ransom.

“The terrorists’ herdsmen informed their brothers in the Nigerian Police that the community murdered one of their terrorist brothers. The terrorists are setting the stage to invade the community with this false accusation. The false alarm was a strategy to use the Nigerian Police to intimidate the Nkpa community for obstructing their terrorists’ plans.

“The terrorists’ sympathetic Nigerian Police Commissioner in Abia State should stop intimidating our people in order to leave their communities vulnerable for a violent ethnic community to attack and kill them at will.

“We want to warn the Abia Police boss that the ESN does not need the communities’ approval to defend our land against any terrorists. We learnt that some people from Nkpa community were invited by the Abia State Police Commissioner for interrogations.

“The list of the invitees are Mazi Ernest Lekweke – Youth leader, Bishop elect Ugoo Nwosu, the President General of the community, the woman leader, and the community Vigilante commander, Mazi Okechukwu Felix Okoro.

“We were reliably informed that the Abia Police Commissioner, through his proxy officers, grilled the above-named persons for hours and forced them to accept that a Fulani terrorist was killed in their community when no such thing happened.

“The Nigerian Police is pressuring the people to accept the case of Fulani murder and to produce those responsible. The question IPoB is asking the Nigerian Police is how many times have the Nigerian Police invited Fulani leaders for interrogations over uncountable terrorist attacks by the Fulani herdsmen anywhere in Igbo land?

“The Abia State Police Commissioner must stop provoking Ndigbo, he should stop promoting hatred between Ndigbo and Funanis or any ethnic group. If anything untoward happens to those people they interrogated and the Nkpa community, the Police Commissioner will be held responsible.

“It is important that the Abia State Police Commissioner support those defending themselves against terrorists herdsmen’s invasion or leave them alone. The terrorist ethnic group masquerading as herdsmen are always the actual aggressors against indigenous Nigerians, but they deceptively claim to be victims anywhere they are.

“These invaders are the most violent and dangerous ethnic group in sub-Saharan Africa and have been named among the most dangerous terror groups in the world.

“It is obvious that the Muslim -Muslim Presidency ticket and term in office is a secret code for the continuation and completion of the Fulanization agenda in Nigeria. The terrorists have killed thousands of civilians and security forces across Nigeria, yet the government of Nigeria has never proscribed them as terrorists.

“The entire State Institutions from the Nigerian Judiciary, Police, Army, DSS, etc, are colluding with them in their quest to kill, destroy, displace, and occupy indigenous people’s communities in Nigeria.

“When we tell people that the Nigerian government is behind the Fulani murderous terrorist activities, some ignorant Nigerians argue. A few days ago, the public was awash with a sickening judgement from the Nigeria Supreme Court that upheld a death sentence by hanging from a High Court Judge in Yobe against a man called Sunday Jackson for defending himself against a Fulani terrorist 10 years ago.

“The Nigerian government, her security agencies, and the judiciary are accomplices. Perhaps they are either under mysterious powers or they are all working hard to establish Nigeria as a radical extremist Islamic Caliphate. But as long as IPoB and ESN are concerned, Biafra land will not bow to radical Islamic conquest.

“Biafra land is not a conquered territory and will never be conquered. IPoB worldwide is bringing to the attention of the Abia Police Commissioner and the terrorist sympathetic federal government that IPoB will never allow their plans to intimidate Ndigbo nor to defend themselves against the rampaging terrorists.

“Self-defense is an inalienable right of every person. Only a tree will stand and watch while being cut down. The Nigerian government and her compromised judiciary and security are all colluding to frustrate people’s efforts to defend themselves against the state-sponsored terrorists.

“IPoB refuses to allow Ndigbo to be vulnerable to terrorist attacks without resistance. Terrorists masquerading as herdsmen cannot be allowed to kill our people without resisting them.

IPoB is, therefore, calling on Ndigbo at home and in the Diaspora to mobilise resources and prepare to defend themselves against terrorists and invaders who enjoy the support of the Nigerian government and her security forces.

“We can not fold our arms and watch these marauding terrorists attack and kill our people at will. Self-defense is lawful even when the Nigerian Supreme Court tried to take away the inalienable right of people to defend themselves with their perverse judgement against Mr. Sunday Jackson.

“ESN operatives will be on the ground in many parts of Biafra land to defend our people and deal with the terrorists. Biafrans should get in touch with ESN through our contact lines when under threat from the janjaweed terrorists.

“ESN does not need approval from community leaders, PGs, or vigilante commanders to go after terrorists. ESN operatives are not answerable to any community leader on matters involving the security of our land.

“The ESN was solely formed to deter and to defeat the terrorists’ attacks and destruction in Biafra land. The Abia State Police Commissioner, be warned! Biafra land is not Yobe State, where Mr. Sunday Jackson was sentenced to death by an ethnic sympathetic judge for defending himself against a Fulani terrorist.

Such a barbaric and disgusting judgment is one of the reasons Nigeria remains irredeemable. To deter the terrorist plans, the ESN tactical team has been ordered to move into the area and to comb the Nkpa community and its environs.

“They have the order of DOS and leadership of IPoB to deal with any terrorists found inside the bushes and forests in Biafraland. Biafra land is not where terrorists, irrespective of their ethnic group, can carry out their terrorist attacks without consequences.”

Woman denied UK asylum 8 times succeeds after joining IPOB

A Nigerian woman who was denied asylum in Britain eight times has finally been granted the right to stay after deliberately joining the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB.

The 49-year-old Nigerian woman (unnamed), became involved with IPOB “to create a claim for asylum”, a judge said.

The woman came to the UK in 2011 and joined IPOB in 2017. Recall that IPOB is labelled a terrorist organisation by Nigeria, but not the UK.

    UK judge rules

The UK upper tribunal judge, Gemma Loughran, said that because the woman was part of IPOB, she has a ‘well-founded fear of persecution’ in her home country, Nigeria.

However, Shadow home secretary Chris Philip slammed the decision to grant asylum. He said it was a “comically ludicrous” interpretation of the European Convention on Human Rights.

The Nigerian woman had said she was worried about being arrested at the airport and “disappeared” if she returned to her country.

A lower tribunal judge originally rejected this claim due to a lack of evidence about her activities within the group.

Judge Iain Burnett ruled that the woman joined IPOB purely “in order to create a claim for asylum”.

But the upper tribunal judge overturned the decision. It said it was likely the woman would be identified as an activist upon her return.

She ruled: “It is clear from the country background evidence that the security services act arbitrarily and arrest, harm and detain those it believes may be involved with IPOB without conducting an assessment of the extent of their involvement or their motivation.” MailOnline

Proscription: IPOB condemns Appeal Court ruling, vows legal challenge

The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has vehemently condemned the recent Court of Appeal decision upholding its proscription, describing the ruling as a “rape of justice” and a blatant disregard for Nigeria’s constitution.

In a statement issued by its Media and Publicity Secretary, Comrade Emma Powerful, IPOB criticized the late Justice Abdul Kafarati’s decision that initially proscribed the group, calling it illegal and unconstitutional.

The group asserted that ex-parte court orders are temporary legal measures that should last no more than 14 days. The proscription order against IPOB, they argued, has unlawfully persisted for nearly eight years.

IPOB highlighted multiple legal infractions in the proscription process: Ex-Parte Orders Misused: IPOB claimed it is “kindergarten law” that ex-parte court orders in civil procedures cannot confer criminal liability on any individual or organization, as was done against them.

No State of Emergency Declared: The group emphasized that no state of emergency was declared in any part of the South-East or South-South, nor was there public disorder attributed to IPOB to justify the proscription.

Invalid Authorization: The law requires the President of Nigeria to sign the memo authorizing such a proscription. IPOB noted that neither former President Muhammadu Buhari nor then-Vice President Yemi Osinbajo signed the order. Instead, it was reportedly signed by the late Abba Kyari, Buhari’s Chief of Staff, who lacked the legal authority to do so.

IPOB accused certain judges in Abuja of being influenced by “haters of IPOB” and undermining the rule of law to deliver politically motivated judgments.

They further criticized the use of “dubious reliance” on past rulings, such as Asari Dokubo’s bail denial, to justify violations of individual rights and the wrongful branding of IPOB as a terrorist organization.

The group maintained that IPOB’s activities have always been lawful and peaceful, asserting that no act of terrorism had been attributed to them at the time of the proscription. Instead, they accused the Nigerian military of unjustified violence against their members during “Operation Python Dance.”

IPOB vowed to challenge the Court of Appeal’s decision and pursue litigation against anyone who refers to the group as a proscribed organization without evidence of terrorist activities.

“We will litigate to the fullest extent of the law against any person or persons that dare refer to IPOB as a proscribed or outlawed organization without proof of any attributable commission of a terrorist act,” the statement read.

This development continues to stir debates over judicial integrity and the rule of law in Nigeria’s handling of the IPOB case.

Troops arrest wanted terrorist Habu Dogo, seven IPOB members

The Defence Headquarters says the Nigerian troops have in the last one week apprehended a notorious terrorist leader, Abubakar Ibrahim (AKA) Habu Dogo in Sokoto and seven IPOB/ESN commanders in South-East.

The Director, Defence Media Operations, Maj.-Gen. Edward Buba, in a statement on Saturday, said that Habu Dogo was apprehended at Rumji Village in Illela Local Government Area of Sokoto State.

According to him, Habu Dogo is a wanted terrorist on the watch list of security agencies both in Nigeria and in the Niger Republic because of the cross border nature of his terrorist activities.

He said the alleged IPOB/ ESN terror operatives apprehended include; Dr Nnamdi Chukwudoze and Chigozie Ezetoha (AKA Chapet) who were nabbed in Ihiala Local Government Area of Anambra.

“Others are , Mrs Ngozi Chukwuka and Mr Oyekachi Ohia who were arrested in Umuahia South Local Government Area of Abia,”he said.

He said others are, Mr Ifeanyi Eze , Mr Augustine Udemba and Mr Onyedikachi Udemba were arrested in Umunneochi Local Government Area of Abia while, Elijah Mmaduipeya Obumneke was arrested in Orsu Local Government Area of Imo.

“The ongoing counter insurgency and counter terrorism operations has continued to degrade the combat capacity of terrorists across the country,’’ he said.
