Cash-strapped Man Utd turn to Europa League to save season

Manchester United’s financial crisis, exposed by co-owner Jim Ratcliffe this week, has heaped more pressure on Ruben Amorim’s men to deliver Europa League glory and a return to Champions League revenues next season.

United host Real Sociedad on Thursday with their last-16 tie finely poised after a 1-1 draw in Spain last week.

The Red Devils sit 14th in the Premier League meaning their hopes of salvaging a miserable season depend on European glory.

Ahead of announcing plans for a new 100,000-seater stadium to replace Old Trafford on Tuesday, Ratcliffe defended the ruthless cost-cutting he has implemented throughout the club during his first year in charge.

United have not yet detailed how they plan to finance the reported £2 billion ($2.6 billion) cost of the new stadium.

Last month, the club announced that up to 200 further redundancies were anticipated after 250 jobs were cut last year.

Ratcliffe claimed the club would have “run out of money at Christmas if we don’t do those things” in a series of media interviews.

The English giants have made cumulative losses of £410 million in the last seven years after a series of expensive mistakes in the transfer market and in managerial hires.

However, only once in the past 35 years have they missed out on European football entirely.

That fate looks almost certain this season unless United lift the Europa League in Bilbao on May 21.

“It’s massive,” said United midfielder Christian Eriksen of the Sociedad game.

“We know there’s a lot of pressure on that game, but it also comes with being at this club.

“You play for trophies so we have to play well to go through.”

Sociedad are also dreaming of making the short trip to Bilbao for the final to salvage a disappointing campaign.

Imanol Alguacil’s men sit 11th in La Liga and lost the first leg of their Copa del Rey semi-final 1-0 at home to Real Madrid.

    – Postecoglou on the brink –

Tottenham, 13th in the Premier League, also desperately need Europa League glory to save their season.

Rumours suggest manager Ange Postecoglou’s job depends on turning around a 1-0 first leg deficit against AZ Alkmaar in London.

Postecoglou has been hampered by a lengthy injury list for most of the campaign, but has few excuses with Spurs finally approaching full strength.

First-choice centre-backs Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven made their return in Sunday’s 2-2 draw against Bournemouth, while record signing Dominic Solanke played 90 minutes for the first time in nearly two months.

“We need everyone. From the supporters, players, staff, from the club, we need everybody with that game to turn it around,” said Spurs captain Son Heung-min.

“Quality doesn’t bring the wins. The games always need a mentality and the care and the performance. Hard work always matters.

“We need to be focused, take it seriously, respect our opponent and do everything we can to turn it around, especially at home.”

Rangers already have one foot in the last eight after a stunning 3-1 first leg win away to Fenerbahce.

“I don’t think it’s over,” said Fenerbahce boss Jose Mourinho. “The only thing I tell them is, don’t celebrate too much. Because there is a second match. It’s my only advice.”

Athletic Bilbao must overturn a 2-1 first leg deficit against Roma to maintain their dream of playing the final in their home stadium.

Lazio, Lyon and Eintracht Frankfurt are strong favourites to make the quarter-finals after away wins at Viktoria Plzen, FCSB and Ajax respectively last week.

Man United announce plans for new 100,000-seat stadium

Manchester United on Tuesday announced plans to build a new 100,000-capacity stadium that co-owner Jim Ratcliffe said would be the “world’s greatest” football ground.

The Premier League club have been examining whether to redevelop their historic Old Trafford home or build a new stadium in the same area.

United have now confirmed their “intention to pursue a new 100,000-seater stadium as the centrepiece of the regeneration of the Old Trafford area” as they throw their “support behind the government’s growth agenda”.

Scaled models and conceptual images for how the new Old Trafford and surrounding area could look like were revealed on Tuesday at the London headquarters of architects Foster + Partners, appointed in September to design the stadium district.

“Today marks the start of an incredibly exciting journey to the delivery of what will be the world’s greatest football stadium, at the centre of a regenerated Old Trafford,” Ratcliffe said.

“Our current stadium has served us brilliantly for the past 115 years, but it has fallen behind the best arenas in world sport.”

  • Super Eagles World Cup squad: Which players will face the axe?

Super Eagles World Cup squad: Which players will face the axe?

With the matches set for March 21 and March 25, Chelle is expected to trim the squad by about 16 players, finalising his 23-man selection in the coming days.

With Chelle set to announce his final 23-man squad on March 17, we identify the players expected to miss out on selection.

    The home-based players

The squad includes a quartet of standout players from the NPFL, such as Remo Stars’ goalkeeper Kayode Bankole, Enugu Rangers’ defender Ifeanyi Onyebuchi, Niger Tornadoes’ forward Papa Daniel Mustapha. Despite impressing at their respective clubs this season, they may miss out on the final squad due to the wealth of talent available in the Super Eagles setup.

    The wounded

Udinese goalkeeper Maduka Okoye, who was included in the provisional squad, is expected to be omitted from the final list.

The shot-stopper has been sidelined since December after undergoing successful surgery for a scapholunate ligament injury in his right wrist. With his recovery timeline set for April, he is unlikely to feature in the upcoming fixtures.

Fisayo Dele-Bashiru is another player who could miss out on the final squad due to injury. The Super Eagles’ no. 10 sustained an ankle sprain during Lazio’s Serie A clash against Venezia on February 25 and has been sidelined since.

Although reports from Italy indicate that he is likely to make a dramatic return before the international break his chances of making the final squad appear highly unlikely unless he experiences a remarkably swift recovery.

New Sevilla signing Akor Adams may have to wait a little longer for his Super Eagles debut. The former Montpellier striker sustained an injury during a training session and has been sidelined since February.

    The out-of-form & inconsistent

A few notable names in the provisional squad face the risk of missing out on the final selection due to inconsistent performances and poor form.

Among them are Kelechi Iheanacho, Ahmed Musa, Paul Onuachu, and Cyriel Dessers—players with proven quality but currently struggling to make a strong case for inclusion.

Iheanacho endured a disappointing spell at Sevilla, struggling with both form and regular playing time, which ultimately led to a move to Championship side Middlesbrough in January.

His inconsistent game time raises concerns about his match fitness and sharpness ahead of the crucial World Cup qualifiers.

Musa, the Super Eagles’ most-capped player and current captain, remains an influential figure in the squad. However, his limited playing time at Kano Pillars and the emergence of younger attacking options could see him left out of the final list.

Onuachu, once a prolific scorer in Belgium, has found it difficult to replicate his goal-scoring exploits at Southampton, while Dessers has endured a mixed campaign at Rangers and has not convinced for the Super Eagles.

Umar Sadiq, Joe Aribo, Chidera Ejuke, Alhassan Yusuf, Christantus Uche, and Igoh Ogbu are also among the players who could potentially miss out on the final squad selection.

EPL: Arteta warns Arsenal against underestimating Man United

Mikel Arteta said this week’s 7-1 thrashing of PSV Eindhoven in the Champions League had given Arsenal a huge lift but urged caution ahead of Sunday’s trip to face misfiring Manchester United.

Second-placed Arsenal, 13 points behind leaders Liverpool, are realistically out of the Premier League title race after recent stumbles.

However, they travel to Old Trafford seeking their fifth consecutive league win over their old rivals in Arteta’s 200th Premier League game in charge.

Arsenal, struggling with injuries in attack and goalless in their past two league matches, found their form in the first leg of their last-16 Champions League tie on Tuesday.

“It was a great night for us in an important competition that we have high hopes for,” the Gunners boss said on Friday.

“The manner in which we did it obviously lifted everybody. But that’s in the past, unfortunately, so it’s about what we do today, our preparation for tomorrow, and trying to replicate a great performance on Sunday.”

United are a lowly 14th in the Premier League, 21 points behind Arsenal, but Arteta said they should not be underestimated.

The Spaniard was asked what he expected from Ruben Amorim’s team, who have produced some surprising results this season, including a win against Manchester City, a draw against Liverpool, and an FA Cup victory against Arsenal on penalties.

“That’s the history of that football club,” he said. “The players they have and the coach they have.

“Watching their game last night against Real Sociedad (a 1-1 draw in the Europa League), it was clear that they are very capable of putting in a strong performance and beating you on the day. So we know that we know the difficulty of the match, and that’s how we have prepared.”

Arteta, who became Arsenal manager in December 2019, was asked at his pre-match press conference to name his top moments as Gunners boss as he marks 200 league games in charge.

“Probably the number one moment was the day I sat here for the first time, fulfilling my dream of becoming the manager of this incredible football club,” he said.

“And then there are many others, but the other night was up there with one of the best because of the way we did it.”

He added: “I still have a lot of energy, and I’m very driven to achieve more success.”

Eto’o wins sports court battle to stand in CAF election

The Court of Arbitration for Sport on Friday ordered the Confederation of African Football (CAF) to allow Cameroonian football chief Samuel Eto’o to stand as a candidate for its executive committee.

CAF had refused to accept the candidacy of the former African player of the year who has headed the Cameroonian federation (Fecafoot) since 2021.

The African federation is scheduled to hold the election during a meeting of its general assembly next week.

Former Barcelona forward Eto’o, 43, who is also in conflict with the Cameroonian sports ministry, had appealed that decision to sport’s top court.

“It is ordered that the CAF Executive Committee includes Mr Samuel Eto’o Fils in the list of candidates for election to the CAF Executive Committee by the CAF Extraordinary General Assembly Meeting on 12 March 2025,” Lausanne-based CAS said in its ruling.

Eto’o is targeting a position as CAF vice-president, according to sources in Cameroon.

Liverpool are near certainties to win the Premier League title but behind them the battle for Champions League places is intensifying.

Just six points separate faltering Nottingham Forest in third place from Aston Villa in 10th, with a top-five finish almost certain to secure a place in Europe’s top club competition next season.

Second-placed Arsenal are 13 points behind Liverpool but with a cushion over the chasing pack and will be keen to pile more misery on Manchester United after hammering PSV Eindhoven 7-1 on Tuesday.

AFP Sport looks at three talking points ahead of the weekend’s action:

    Liverpool’s perfect visitors

Arne Slot openly admitted only fortune and the performance of goalkeeper Alisson Becker’s life had saved his side in a smash-and-grab 1-0 Champions League win at Paris Saint-Germain on Wednesday.

With the return leg of the last-16 tie against the French champions to come at Anfield on Tuesday, Slot could not have hand picked a more accommodating fixture this weekend to lighten the load.

Bottom-placed Southampton travel to Merseyside with just nine points from 27 games.

So desperate is Saints’ position that their target is to avoid beating Derby’s unwanted record of 11 points — the lowest tally in Premier League history.

Slot will most likely rotate his side, especially after strong performances off the bench in Paris from Wataru Endo, Darwin Nunez and match-winner Harvey Elliott.

    Man City face Forest crunch

Manchester City have been reduced to battling for a place in next season’s Champions League after a dismal campaign, and even that usually routine target is far from assured for Pep Guardiola’s men.

With six titles in the past seven seasons, City have rarely had to worry about their place in the Champions League in the Guardiola era.

Yet they will head to Forest on Saturday looking anxiously over their shoulders.

The troubled champions occupy fourth spot at present, one point behind third-placed Forest.

Fifth-placed Chelsea, just one point adrift of City, host lowly Leicester on Sunday, leaving City with little margin for error at the City Ground.

However, Guardiola’s men may be facing Forest at the right time.

The two-time European champions won six straight Premier League matches from early December as they seek to qualify for the Champions League for the first time since 1980 but they have won just two of their past seven league games.

Arsenal aim to maintain goal spree
Arsenal could be 16 points behind Liverpool by the time they kick off against Manchester United on Sunday.

But with their title chances realistically over, Mikel Arteta’s side will use the trip to Old Trafford as a chance to prove they have rediscovered their attacking verve.

After scoring just two goals in their previous four games in all competitions, the Gunners’ attack finally exploded in the Netherlands this week as they virtually ensured progress to the Champions League quarter-finals.

Arsenal, who still lack a recognised striker in the absence of injured pair Kai Havertz and Gabriel Jesus and are missing wingers Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli, hit seven goals for the first time in 13 years.

Adding to their goal glut against misfiring United would be a welcome sign that they can muster the firepower required to apply a little pressure to Liverpool while challenging for European glory.

Stuck down in 14th place in the Premier League and beset by defensive issues, the troubled Red Devils could be ideal opponents for Arteta’s men to fine-tune their makeshift attack.

55 athletes jostle for honours in ECOWAS African Tournament

Fifty-five athletes from 11 countries will compete for top honors in the ECOWAS African Traditional Wrestling Tournament in Abuja, with each nation fielding five wrestlers and four technical officials.

The Federal Government also commended the ECOWAS as it officially declared open the 13th edition of the tournament, held in celebration of the regional body’s 50th anniversary.

Speaking at the opening ceremony at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium, Abuja, the Chairman of the National Sports Commission, Mallam Shehu Dikko, emphasized the tournament’s significance.

He highlighted that it marks ECOWAS’ golden jubilee which aligns with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s commitment to use sports as a tool for peace, unity, and economic development across the region.

Dikko said: “We are particularly honored that this prestigious event is taking place under the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, whose vision has continued to drive unity, economic growth, and the advancement of sports as a means of fostering regional cohesion. This tournament is a testament to our collective commitment to promoting cultural ties and strengthening the bonds that unite us.”

He emphasised that African cultural heritage serves as a unifying force, with traditional wrestling being an essential part of that legacy.

He said: “Traditional wrestling is more than just a sport; it is a cherished cultural heritage passed down through generations. It embodies the spirit of resilience, strength, and discipline that defines our great continent.”

Dikko commended ECOWAS and the Traditional Sports Federation of Nigeria for their dedication to organizing the tournament, affirming that the National Sports Commission remains committed to leveraging sports for youth empowerment, regional integration, and economic growth in line with President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.

He stressed the need to develop a robust sports economy that harnesses the economic potential of the industry. Encouraging young athletes to seize the opportunity, he urged them to showcase their talents, create wealth, and build relationships that will inspire future generations.

In his remarks, the Director General of the National Sports Commission, Bukola Olapade, reiterated Tinubu’s commitment to sports as a unifying force for ECOWAS.

He said: “Mr. President is devoted to the unity and solidarity of the ECOWAS sub-region and strongly believes that sports serve as a major unifier to strengthen and enhance that bond.”

Also speaking, the Director of the Economic Youth and Sports Development Center (EYSDC), Ambassador Francis Chuks Njoaguani, described African wrestling as a powerful tool for fostering intercultural exchanges, reducing social tensions, combating violent extremism, and promoting sustainable development.

He said: “The primary objective of the tournament is to break down cultural barriers that hinder collective progress and to work together in building a strong, united, and inclusive region.

“The tournament is expected to bring together wrestlers from across the ECOWAS region, fostering not just competition but also unity and cultural appreciation.”

  • Forest eye Osayi-Samuel as potential Aina replacement

Forest eye Osayi-Samuel as potential Aina replacement

English Premier League side Nottingham Forest have reportedly secured a pre-contract agreement with Fenerbahçe full-back Bright Osayi-Samuel as they prepare for the potential departure of compatriot Ola Aina.

According to Turkish outlet Takvim, Osayi-Samuel has rejected multiple contract extension offers from Fenerbahçe, opting instead to pursue a move back to England. The Nigerian defender’s current deal with the Turkish giants expires at the end of the season, making him a free agent in the summer.

“Fenerbahçe has found a way for Osayi-Samuel. The Nigerian star, whose contract will expire at the end of the season, has rejected the management’s latest contract offer,” Takvim reported.

The outlet further revealed that Nottingham Forest have made the most serious approach for the versatile full-back, seeing him as a direct replacement for Aina, whose contract also expires this summer.

Aina, who joined Forest on a free transfer from Torino, has been one of the club’s standout performers this season. However, uncertainty looms over his future, with reports linking him to Manchester City as a potential successor to Kyle Walker, who left for AC Milan in January.

The Super Eagles defender has expressed his willingness to stay at the City Ground, but Forest risk losing him for free unless they move quickly to secure his services with a new deal.

With Osayi-Samuel edging closer to a return to England and Aina’s future still up in the air, Nottingham Forest’s summer transfer business promises to be one to watch.

  • Cubarsi follows Babayaro’s unwanted UCL record

Cubarsi follows Babayaro’s unwanted UCL record

Celestine Babayaro’s unwanted record of being the youngest player to be sent off in the UEFA Champions League still stands but the ex-Nigeria international has a new follower in the pecking order of the record, PUNCH Sports Extra reports.

The new follower is Barcelona defender Pau Cubrasi, who became the second youngest player to be sent off in UCL history on Wednesday night.

The 18-year-old was dismissed after 22 minutes, in Barcelona’s 1-0 win over Benfica in their first leg UCL round of 16 tie, following Babayaro in the order of the record as recorded by football statistics website Opta.

“At 18 years and 42 days old, Pau Cubarsi is the second youngest player to be sent off in UCL history after Celestine Babayaro in 1994 (16 years and 86 days).”

Babayaro set the record while playing at Anderlecht in 1994.

He was sent off in their 1-1 draw against Steaua București.

That was the only red card the player received in the competition as he went on to make 16 Champions League appearances, scoring one goal plus two assists.

That is aside from five UEFA Champions League qualifying matches where he made five appearances and scored one goal as well.

The 46-year-old also enjoyed his career at Chelsea from 1997 to 2005 and then at Newcastle for another three years before joining MLS side LA Galaxy in 2008.

The Nigerian won the UEFA Cup Winners Cup and UEFA Super Cup at Chelsea in 1998 as well as other domestic titles in Belgium and England.

He was also part of Nigeria’s historic gold medal team in the men’s football event at the Atlanta 1996 Olympics.

  • X-raying Chelle’s 39-man provisional squad for W’Cup qualifiers

    X-raying Chelle’s 39-man provisional squad for W’Cup qualifiers

Super Eagles coach Eric Chelle has dropped a rare 39-man provisional list for this month’s World Cup qualifiers against Rwanda and Zimbabwe. ABIODUN ADEWALE assesses the squad as the anxiety rages on ahead of the final 23-man list

Based on the current form of most Nigerian players abroad, the Super Eagles list for the 2026 World Cup qualifiers against Rwanda and Zimbabwe later this month was anticipated, but nobody saw the release of a 39-man provisional list coming.

Usually, there is a supposedly discreet provisional list for matches like these, with rumours also making the rounds about who’s there and who’s not, but it gets pruned to the needed 23-man list before it is made known to the public.

In a subtle shift from the norm, the Nigeria Football Federation, through the Super Eagles official social media handles, on Tuesday, teased and dropped a list of 39 players that have been picked by the new coach, Eric Chelle for these assignments, leaving the media space awash with questions about the final cut.

Of course, there is no perfect list and nothing is settled yet. Even the players on the list also got to know via social media, just like the teeming fans that have bombarded social media with requests for the list.

Provisionally, the list has five goalkeepers, 10 defenders, 10 midfielders and 14 names in attack, with seven of the players being potential debutants, if they make the final cut.

The players in line for their maiden invitations are; Salvia Prague defender Igoh Ogbu, Rangers International’s Ifeanyi Onyebuchi, Anthony Dennis who plays for Goztepe in Turkey, Getafe’s Chrisantus Uche, Papa Daniel Mustapha of Niger Tornadoes in the Nigeria topflight, in-form Genk striker Tolu Arokodare and new Sevilla signing Akor Adams.

Among them are also potential returnees, headlined by 2013 AFCON winner and captain, Ahmed Musa who is currently plying his trade with his boyhood club Kano Pillars in the Nigeria Premier Football League. Others are Remo Stars goalkeeper Kayode Bankole, Gent defender Jordan Torunarigha, and Joseph Aribo as well as forwards Cyriel Dessers and Nathan Tella.

New Super Eagles handler, Chelle, must be plotting his final squad ahead of another release, so the players on the list can’t rejoice yet and those who were snubbed must not rule anything out yet.

But, regardless of the motive to drop the initial list, it’s a quick fix to cushion the bombardment from the fans and in return put pressure on some of the players, especially the potential debutants and returnees, since there would be no camping for them to prove themselves before the bombshell of the final list is dropped.

Who should be in or out of the final list?

The two qualifiers are coming up in a fortnight, so, picking the final 23-man list for games at the moment; especially in the thick of European club football is illogical.

Therefore, the final roster will be hugely influenced by form and unforeseen circumstances, particularly injuries.

Players like the reigning African Player of The Year Ademola Lookman, on-loan Napoli striker Victor Osimhen, defender William Troost-Ekong, Moses Simon, Ola Aina and goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali are among the ones Nigerians would hope to stay fit for the clashes.

Osimhen particularly has not featured in the ill-fated 2026 World Cup qualifying series due to injuries and the in-form Galatasaray striker has expressed his desire to play at the mundial which will be jointly hosted by the USA, Canada and Mexico.

“You have to give everything; you know it’s a dream of every youngster to be at the World Cup. Mine is no exception. So for me, I want to be there just like every one of my teammates and we are really looking forward to the game against Rwanda and Zimbabwe to try and correct all the mistakes we have made in the past. So, we will be ready,” Osimhen told journalist Oluwshina Okeleji after a league game in Turkey recently.

However, few regulars are still giving Chelle and the fans some selection headaches due to their fitness.

One of them is Italy-based Fisayo Dele-Bashiru whose return date from an injury is said to be near but not specific. Therefore, it remains to be seen how match-fit the Lazio midfielder, who has scored two important goals in his six appearances for Nigeria will be for the clashes.

Some players like Leicester City midfielder Wilfred Ndidi and Sevilla’s Chidera Ejuke recently returned from injuries as well but they must remain 100 per cent for these assignments.

The provisional list seems exhaustive with options in every department but there are still questions about some inclusions and even omissions.

While someone like Enyimba goalkeeper Ani Ozoemena, who was in goal for the CHAN Eagles during their recent qualifiers was snubbed, his deputy at that level, Kayode Bankole got the nod.

Also, Kelechi Iheanacho, who has settled for more bench roles in the national team recently and also struggling to find his feet at club level, as well as an unfit and unsettled Maduka Okoye got a look at.

Again, nothing is settled yet, but this is football; before anything happens, it must have been earned or made possible by hard luck.

If the fans can pray against injuries, the prayer point should be that the 39-man list should not be plagued, so the coach will not be swayed by the urge to just fill voids when players should be competing for spots.

No player is indispensable, and interestingly, there are potential replacements for almost every player on the list. A testament to Nigeria’s depth of talent but it remains to be seen how the new coach will assemble the bunch for a clean sweep.

Chelle keeping an eye on the NPFL

Recently, Chelle has been watching Nigeria Premier Football League matches.

The Franco-Malian coach was in Ikenne, Lagos and Kano to watch matches involving some of the best teams in the league and it’s good to see him include four NPFL stars (Musa, Onyebuchi, Bankole and Daniel) in his provisional squad although it could have been more.

Now, thanks to his inclusion, it is safe to think about Musa in the capacity of the Super Eagles captain, a role he last played as a squad player during the 2023 AFCON between January and February 2024 in Ivory Coast. He has been absent from the team since then until he emerged as one of the stars in the Nigerian topflight.

However, his inclusion wouldn’t have raised eyebrows if it was during the AFCON qualifiers in November when he was taking the league by storm on his return.

It’s hard to see how the 2013 AFCON winner will break into the star-studded wings without settling for another spell of leadership role on the bench.

Generally, it won’t be surprising if none of the four players make the final squad. At least, they would be happy they made it this far from the Nigerian top flight.

    Chelle’s mandate

When the final list is out in another week or thereabouts, disappointments, hisses and criticisms would be inevitable but the ultimate vindication would be results that will reignite the Super Eagles’ campaign in the World Cup qualifiers.

Coach Chelle, who took over in January, surely has a delicate job.

As he awaits his first game in charge of the team, the Franco-Malian is caught between reviving the country’s ill-fated 2026 World Cup qualifying series and leading the country to their fourth AFCON title when the tournament kicks off by December.

He has also stressed that his focus will be on the World Cup qualifiers until the 2025 AFCON nears.

“As I’ve said before, my focus is on my players and March. We need to concentrate on the World Cup qualifiers first, and after that, in October, we can start thinking about AFCON. For now, we need to win two games in March,” Chelle said after the 2025 AFCON draw in January.

Nigeria risk missing out on the 2026 World Cup, following a disappointing start to their qualifying campaign.

After four matches, the three-time African champions sit in fifth place with just three points, four points behind leaders Rwanda, with six games left to play in the qualifying series.

March’s fixtures against the Amavubi in Kigali and Zimbabwe are crucial for Nigeria’s chances of securing a ticket to the global football showpiece, as victories in those games are expected to reignite their qualification hopes.

After the two games in March, the team will also regroup in September and October for their last four games in the series before plotting their route to a fourth AFCON title in December.
