Gary Great (born Pius Gary on April 21, 1996), also known as Gary Yo, is a rising Nigerian Afrobeats singer and songwriter. Hailing from Ayua in Auchi, Edo State, Nigeria (his “YAMAN” tag stands for Young Ayua Man), Gary Great is the founder of Gary Yo Music Entertainment, a record label he launched on November 30, 2023.
He studied Electrical/Electronics Engineering at Auchi Polytechnic, where he began his musical journey at the age of 19. Turning professional in 2022, this independent artist has steadily gained recognition in the Nigerian music scene. He has released several projects, including the album “Blow Time” and the EPs “Only One Boy” and “Super Star.”
His latest hit, “Watta Bum,” released on January 23, 2025, has quickly become a trending dancehall anthem across Nigeria, Africa, and globally.
Gary Great has collaborated with various producers, sound engineers, and artists, including Kelvin Drayz, Bob Berry, Shuga Vibes, Afro Bankz Music, and Skales. He continues to expand his network and work with more artists and producers in the industry.
