Imo Ezeship Tussle: Go and answer Police invitation – Monarch tells subject

Owerri – Following the Ezeship tussle, in Umuezeanoruo Eziama Autonomous Community in Nkwerre Council Area of Imo state, Eze Emmanuel Ekwujuru Uzoho has advised one Nze Emeka Obiefule to go and answer the police invitation.

Uzoho spoke to newsmen in Owerri, on Wednesday condemning an attempt by Obiefule to credit an interview he (Uzoho) granted to another person, Chikezie Nwadike.

Uzoho said such move was to divert attention from the main issues contained in the Police invitation served to Obiefule.

According to Uzoho, “I am responsible for the publication and it was an advised to Nze Emeka Obiefule to go and face the charges against him at Police Headquarters, Abuja. I wrote the petition and all the issues raised are verifiable. I was the one who granted the press interview which was published and wondered why Chikezie Nwadike, an illustrious son of the community is being accused.

“A Police Team from FCID Abuja was in Imo State for your arrest but you evaded and they dropped an invitation for you and other suspects to report to Abuja on 30th January 2025 which you did not honour and I wondered why you avoided the invitation as you claimed to be innocent of the charges. On many occasions that you arrested me unlawfully, I did make myself available to the police because I have no skeletons in the cupboard. The difference is clear.”

“I have pleaded with Chikezie Nwadike not to take any legal action against you for accusing him of what he is not responsible for but you are advised to focus on answering the Police Invitation that you and the other accused ignored on 30th January 2025,” he concluded.

He wondered why he was defamed when his “Neither from their village, Ndihunogbo nor in any contest with Obiefule.” advising that; “Using intimidation, harassment will not succeed rather will create more enemies.”
