Get connected with God, by Funmi Komolafe

Brethren, it’s the beginning of another month.   It’s time to ask; the popular question “ how far? “.

Asking this question is a form of self-assessment.  Ask yourself, how far have I gone in my relationship with the LORD?

Has anything changed in your spiritual life between now and January?  Have you devoted more time to prayers, have you been fasting, what else have you been doing to improve your relationship with God.  Not your Pastor but you alone can answer that question.  I urge you to do so honestly.

The second step is to ask yourself, is there any sign that something is about to change?  If the answer is in the positive, then you can begin to look toward the day of testimony.

Let me give an example.  Perhaps there is a woman out there whose monthly period has ceased as  it was with Sarah.   Genesis 18 vs. 11 ( KJV) : “ Now Abraham and Sarah were old and well striken in age; and  it ceased to be with Sarah after the manner of women”.

Perhaps doctors have told you that the eggs you  produce during ovulation are so weak that  they can never be fertilized.  With such a report,  if you are not strong in faith, you would give up on yourself.

Or are you a man whose medical test results  indicate  that you have zero sperm count.   That is enough to make a man write   himself off but not for a true Christian.

As a Christian,  such reports  it is indeed the test of  our faith.

What then do we do?  As  a Christian, you should  remember that God gave you a command.

Genesis 1 vs. 27 & 28:  “ So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it; and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air,  and  over every living thing that moveth upon the earth”.

Jesus went further to assure us that with faith, we cannot pray in vain.

Verse 24 of Mark 11: ‘ Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them”.

A major hindrance to our miracle is doubt.  Some of us pray with doubts in  our  hearts.  Our lips pronounce  the prayers but the heart doubts.

May the merciful God deliver us from the spirit of doubts in the name of Jesus.

Doubt weakens our faith and if unchecked may make one to  disconnect  with God and anyone that is disconnected from God cannot be connected to a miracle.

God told Abraham that he would be a father of many nations but the first step to the fulfillment of the word of God was the birth of the promised child Isaac. Though he had Ishmael  born to him by Sarah’s maid, Hagar.

You want to ask, why didn’t God give Sarah multiple  babies?

The answer is  found in Psalm 115  vs. 3 “ But God is in the heavens; he hath done whatsoever he hath pleased”.

From Isaac that he gave to Abraham and Sarah as an only child,  a nation’s arose.

Our intimacy with the LORD would make us hear   from him.   It makes  us get the attention  of the God.

Beloved, if the physical signs that you see do not   give  you cause to be cheerful, the solution is not to be downcast or lose faith.

Let your spirit remind you   of the word of God in Jeremiah 32 vs. 27: “ Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh: is there anything too hard for me?’.

Let your faith make you to answer that   there is nothing too hard for the LORD.

With this thought, you are moving closer to your miracle.

Perhaps you have been going through some form of sickness that doctors have described as “incurable”.    Medical science is limited but God is unlimited.

Nothing is too hard for the God of all flesh.  Your body is flesh.  So God can heal you.

The child you want to have is flesh.  The God of all flesh can give you children.

Have you been waiting for  a marriage partner?   The one you are expecting is flesh.  God can connect both of you and the marriage would take place.

Brethren, you need to take testimonies seriously.   Cast doubts away from your mind, when listening to testimonies.  Believe that God that gave the testifier a miracle is available to also give you   a testimony.

Brethren, if you spent 2024 down cast because  your miracle didn’t manifest, you can’t afford to remain that way in 2025.

You must radiate the joy of the LORD even  when  you are troubled.   Humanly speaking, this seems impossible but with  the love of Christ in you, it is possible.

With the joy of the LORD in you, brethren, you are an overcomer.

Mockers   would wonder while your radiate so much joy despite the challenges that  they identify with you.

The  joy of the LORD in you is also  a weapon to chase the demons out of your life.

Couples trusting God for the fruit of the womb, need to be united in prayer.

If your partner’s faith is not strong enough, then make sure you remain connected  with God in prayer.

Brethren, a miracle may be delayed  because  of the forces of darkness but it may also be delayed because you haven’t taken the right steps.

At other times, what we call a delay, is a test of our faith.

Beloved, it is only God that can open a closed womb.   It is God that can change the zero sperm count to multiple count but you need to be connected to  JESUS.

No matter what we are going through, God is available to bring us from sorrow to joy.

God is able to move us from lamentation to celebration  only if you remain connected in prayer.

Brethren, you cannot be guilty of praying too much.  There is nothing like over-praying.

The more you pray, the more you get connected to God.

January is gone, we still have 11 months to go in 2025, resolve to be connected to the one that  answers prayers.

Those who do not pray, may never testify.

May God help us all to remain connected to Him.

Our God is the helper of the helpless.

No wonder the Psalmist said in Psalm 46 vs. 1: “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble”.

God is not far from you; you only need to be connected.

Shalom!
